Welcome to my new spot! If you have been reading “Today’s Focus” on face book and have found your way here, thank you for making the extra “click.” If this is our first time together, I hope you will be a frequent visitor, As the saying goes, There are no strangers here, only friends that haven’t met. In Christ, we are all brothers and sisters, and I pray that your visit will be a time of spiritual refreshment.
I’ve had a fun couple of days “moving in.” You can read about what brought me here by clicking on the “About” link. Though there’s still some work to be done, cleaning things up a bit, and adding some finishing touches as you would in any new place, I’m feeling at home now, as I continue to discover new “nooks and crannies” along the way. I want this to be a welcoming, comfortable place, where one can come with a cup of coffee, iced tea or whatever, and just spend a few minutes turning their eyes upon Jesus. There will always be more work to be done, ways to improve . . . but God is already with us, waiting, and He is really all we need. Can’t you just hear Him saying, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”? (Matthew 11:28)
So, welcome! Please leave any thoughts you have in the comment section. We’re all in this journey together and as we share with each other along the way, God strengthens us for the miles ahead.
“Lord, sometimes we resist change in our lives, as it draws us out of our “comfort zones.’ Other times we embrace it. Help us to remember that You are with us in the comfortable places and the not so comfortable. Indeed, You occasionally call us to the uncomfortable, for Your purposes and glory. Help us to embrace Your calls, Lord. Thank you for bringing me full cycle in this process. May you bless this little spot and permeate it with Your presence, keeping our eyes fixed on You. May Your language of love be spoken here, and may all who stop by be refreshed by Your Spirit. You Lord, are truly all we need for that to happen.”
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
Ya know, I think I’m gonna like it here. Yes. . . Yes, I am. For now, that’s the view from here . . .
